~HongKong Trip with my Besties (huiling & claris)~

Fly to HK at 6.40pm on 16th March 2008 and arrived HK at 10.30am (17th March)

We reach YWCA about 12.30pm and we had our lunch at this small restaurant (sweet and sour Pork + rice) yeah! i know we should try something different there, but really.. there is nothing much special. anw, the pork is more crispy there. After that we walked ard the streets and try to recognise the place. oh yeah! Hong Kong PpL love dogs! we saw many pets shop and pets clinic along the streets..

anw, before heading back to hotel, we saw a hongkong actress ( chen da rong ) erm.. alrite she look really common, not that pretty la. Then, we check in at 2pm like that.. the room isnt tat bad, but we think the toilet can be better.

AFter unpacking our luggage, we go to The Peak and visit the Wax House. It is quite foggy, so the night view isnt that good. overall is still ok la. very windy there.. hope the pictures will decribe everything for me to u guys!

Dinner at a Thai restuarant. we slept at 11pm that night.

18th March 2008

we woke up at 9am like that and had our breakfast at a cafe restuarant which is located opp of YWCA. their breakfast is cheap and come with a big potion. oh yeah! we tried the eggtart there. my frens said it taste a bit different, but i think it is almost the same. hehe..

After that we walked to Mongkok station which took us about 15mins. Then we took cable car at TungChung Station to visit Big Buddha. anw, we tried the KFC at the Factory Outlet shopping mall. They gave hand glove!!! the purpose of using it is not to dirty our hand, but.... the quality of the handglove is super lousy.. Our hands are still oily after using it. haiz..

In the evening, we went back to Mongkok by MTR and start OUR night market shopping!!! I bought a one big towel, 2 pants, 1 jacket, 2 necklas and 6 T- shirt that night. spend less than 100 dollars i think... at 11pm, we ate at one cafe restaurant again.. To me, it is like a kuay tiao soup but they called it in another name which i cant remember at all. anw, the soup taste good but abit salty. aiya! all the food there is either too salty for us or too sweet. After that, about 12am, we tried to walked back hotel but we lost the way so end up we reach hotel at 1.30am. we slept at 3am that night. anw, there was a kind man who lead us home that night. hehe!

19th March 2008

This morning, we had our breakfast at Cheer O cafe (YWCA cafe restuarant). Had a western breakfast (egg and bacon with milk and orange juice). after that, we took MTR to centrall and visit worlds 2nd biggest Louis Vuitton shop. then we took bus 260 for HK$10.60 to visit the stanley market. i think this is a boring place, europe style building. we only spent one hr there. while i was buying the fruit juice, ling bought a bubble thing to amaze the kids there. then, we took the minibus number 40 for HK$9 to times square. Guess what? we finally tried the Dim Sum at Crsystal Jade! haiz.. this is the only place we noe they sell dim sum. so sad la!!! ah!!!! ok nvm.. coz we are too exhausted and hungry to find another restaurant, so we settle down there at 2.38pm. At this time, ris's stomach is still not feeling well.

After Lunch, ling bought the 1st thing at Loreal shop for her mummy!! she is the shopping winner during whole trip coz she is always the one who start to buy the 1st thing of the day first. anw, claris went crazy when she finally saw zara and coach (one of her favourite shop) at times square. yeah! of coz, she got few t shirt from Zara that day and i still got nothing to buy yet. haiz... after that, we proceed to SOGO department store. the cosmetic and skin product is rather chaep compared to singapore. so i bought my 1st foundation powder from Bobbi Brown, eye make up remover from M.A.C and liquid eyeliner from Shiseido.

At 9.30pm, we settle down at the Yuan Qi sushi restaurant for our dinner. their sushi shop only sell sushi! not like singapore, we have some set meals.. noodle or rice.. they dun have at all!!! they only have few variety of sushi!! ah.another unpleasant meal. anw, by this time, we already bought lot of thing. big bags, thin wallet and swollen legs. oh nanana! their green tea. ..is kind of powder then u gonna make the tea urself... anw, the bill is HK$269.50. and the guy thought we gave him 300! so yeah! we only paid HK$200 for that meals in the end. haha! =p

We wanted to buy birkenstock slipper after dinner at 10.08pm but the shop closed already(they closed at exactly 10pm!!). so we left in disappointment... BUT~!!! something lighten my day!! we saw a shop (http://www.izzue.com/) is still open, so we faster get into that shop and i found lot of nice Tees there!! Of coz! i spent abt HK$1800 in that shop and become a VIP there. i was happy that day, coz i finally bought something i really like it! slept at 2am that night.

20th March 2008
I woke up at 9am and took a hot shower to prepare to airport. 3 of us have total 8 luggages and bags. we drag it all the way from our hotel to the mongkok station. it is really a tough job. can u imaging the street of HK?? so many ppl! so dusty!! so squeezy!! we Bang few ppl accidentally along the way and they gave us a very rude look! which made us feel unwelcome at all!!! but who cares?! i am leaving that day anw.. so i dun bother to apologize either.

We tried the QQ rice at Qing Yi station.it is HK$16. doenst taste that good also la. after the awful brunch, we continue our journey to airport and lock our luggage at their electronic locker for only HK$70 which can last up to 20hrs!! then we took the airport express to HOngKong and change to central then change to causeway bay again to do our last shopping. (birkenstock and perfume)
In the end, i got a adidas Bag and 2 pairs of birkenstock at times square. then we faster rush to TungChung ( the factory outlet) to get our photo. Lunch or dinner ( i also not sure coz we're too busy of rushing everywhere) at Macdonald! we were thirsty, tired, hungry... anw, got a jacket and a singlet at Citygate before heading to Airport to catch our flight at 8.15pm. Then, to finish all the HK money, i bought lot of tibits back to singapore. later, we check in at 7pm and have dessert (mango pudding with birdnest and sago in mango juice) at Hui Lau Shan- the famous dessert shop in HK!

We reach singapore at 12.05am!! finally home. i miss home~
