Indonesia - Tanjung Balai 3 days Trip

1st Day

Here we go~ Bought the 2 way ferry ticket at harbour front for $57

Ready to go!! 2 hrs ride.

Okie! Let's start a short intro of this small island of Indonesia- Tanjung Balai.

There is only 2 traffic light, the shopping mall is like Shop & Save super market in S'pore, locals usually stay at those houses which are above the shops, houses are near the ocean, Lot of fake branded goods ( channel, burberry, levi's, polo etc....)

This is the first meal at TB- Ayam Bakar (roast chicken). The chilli is very very sweet and spicy! Love it!

The famous dessert- Es Teler
It is like ice kacang but contains are coconut, jackfruit and avocado.

Then we went to Pasar Malam, of coz... We bought lot of foods!!!

Shop around the Pasar Malam...
Things there are cheap! but I guess they know we are tourists.. so.. whatever we buy is slightly more expensive la.. but it is still valuable and affordable. =)

Fried Fried and Fried!!!

Our dinner is... Mee Siam, Kuih, Indo Special 清汤 and fried fish cake

So... this is one of the public transport- Mini Bus

Anw, there is no bus stop in this island. so... the driver will jus drive ard the streets and keep honk-ing u to hop in the bus.

This is another public transport- Trishaw! didnt get to try it =(

The ONLY bank
Fel ask me to bring more cash there.. Then I told her..
No no No.. In case I lost them, so I better don't bring so much there.. If I want, I can use nets or draw from ATM machine..
Then we found out.. there is no ATM or nets there at all!!! LOL

After dinner, we rest awhile before going down to get some fruits.. Then San intro us a fish porridge.. It is our supper!!

We were so full la!!! I gain 1 kg that night! how scary~

2nd day

We woke up at 10am by a scary dream this morning. ( hope it will never happen in real life)
Changed and ready to have our second day trip!

First, we had Bak Gu Teh for breakfast! The soup is FANTASTIC!!! fel finished one whole bowl of soup.. I don't really like soup.. so only drink half.. but it is really delicious!! the meat is very tender too... and and and!!! It only costs $5 each!!

We are so lucky that we found a spa package there!!! It is only $20 for 3 hrs!! Damn cheap la....

We get ourselves the same room.. so we can enjoy the massage together while chit chatting.. It is their first time of them to do spa! so when the masseuse do massage for them, they keep laughing. Especially fel, she is so funny!!! she was so shy when the masseuse ask her to take out her sauna robe.. LOL

Then, we went to LONG BEACH for seafood!!

All of us are quite full.. coz we were keep eating all the time!! so we only ordered two dishes. One is crab bee hoon and garlic chicken.

After dinner, we went to Pasar Malam again..
We saw a very fashion and cheap sunglass!! but .... we have not enough money by that time...
Luckily, we got it at the second day! =) $6 only!!

This is what we do before we sleep..
drawing and cutting.. tsk tsk tsk.. anw, the frog is cute right? done by me!! LOL

Stop saying I got no talent okay?? hahah...

I bought this sweet for eveyone!! and it is one of the things i bought there.. ( I only buy 3 things in total, sunglass for myself, sweet and one polo shirt for buddy!!)

and we found one shop is under Victoria name.. VIC!! U are so famous there!! =p

3rd day

we woke up at 8.30am today coz we re leaving in the noon.. San brought us to another chinese kopitiam for brunch...

Tried the Kwa Chap and chicken rice.. It is about the same as S'pore food... but fel find it dirty.. so she didnt eat much.. She found chicken fur and was so freaked out! LOL

Later, San's aunt bring us to another bigger temple.
The scenery is so beautiful and super windy there.. they prayed for awhile then we head back to home..

We were so angry with san la... such a good place and she totally forgot to bring us there until the last minutes!! We could actually sun tan on the roof top man! It will be damn fun and a very good experience sia!!

SO.. That is the end..

Fel total got five bags back to s'pore while I still keep the same size which is - one bag go, one bag back! hehe.. Nothing to buy there actually except foods..

It is a very good experince.. explore the culture and the life of an small island in Indonesia. Love it! =D
